Hioki FA1817 Flying Probe Tester
Introducing the Hioki FA1817 Flying Probe Tester – the solution to detecting latent defects on high-density printed wiring boards with absolute reliability. This fixtureless, dual-sided, bare board tester provides superior cost performance and quick inspection yield, thanks to advanced probe movement technology. With four arms – two in front and two in back – the FA1817 is capable of simultaneously testing both sides of the board.
Using a dedicated board and proprietary 4-wire probes, the FA1817 can quickly and accurately detect minute resistances characteristic of open vias. With the newly developed 100GΩ/250V super megohm board, high insulation resistance can be measured, while minimizing stress from high applied voltage to deliver damage-free, rapid results. The built-in “Process Analyzer” allows for batch loading of accumulated inspection results, making it easy to create statistical reports. Analyze defects, create distribution maps, and draw charts to visually analyze data trends and provide feedback to upstream design and manufacturing processes.
The FA1817 optimizes probe movement to reduce inspection time by up to 20%, while also reducing probe marks in combination with the latest probes. Latent defect detection is made easy with the newly developed statistical processing software, ensuring absolute reliability in detecting any issues with your printed wiring boards.
