Haefely DMI 553
Introducing the DMI 553, a versatile digital measuring instrument designed specifically for high voltage laboratories according to IEC 61083-3:2020. With its portable and highly integrated design, the DMI 553 is the perfect tool for measuring, recording and visualizing events during dielectric and breakdown tests.
The DMI 553 utilizes a specialized voltmeter to measure high voltage levels, which can be connected to a secondary unit of a voltage divider or to a current to voltage transducer, such as a shunt. Measured values are displayed on the computer screen in large digits using the Haefely CaMS software, which also includes graphical indications such as scope function, FFT, datalogger or flash detection.
For pass/fail criteria during dielectric tests, the DMI 553 records the Peak by √2 voltage, and the last value before breakdown is shown. The instrument can also incorporate voltage divider ratio or shunt conversion factor (A/V) in the calculation to display parameters directly in kV or A, making it easier to comprehend.
Safety is of utmost importance when working with high voltage, and the DMI 553 addresses this by utilizing a fiber optic connection for galvanic isolation between the operator and high voltage test lab. Additionally, the DMI 553 is capable of generating reports based on templates, which can be printed or saved as PDF. Snapshots of the display or charts can be easily included in the reports.
With its powerful features and easy-to-use design, the DMI 553 is the perfect digital measuring instrument for all your high voltage laboratory needs.
