93511-1 Current Probe
Frequency Range: 10 kHz – 30 MHz
The Model 93511-1 has a constant transfer impedance of 1 Ohm from 10 kHz to 30 MHz.
This user friendly feature makes translation between spectrum analyser/EMI receiver dBV readings and conducted emission limit dBA units a 1:1 comparison. The frequency range is precisely that of MIL-STD-461D requirement CE102, making this probe an excellent diagnostic or pre-compliance testing tool). Another application of a constant transfer impedance is the ability to make useful time domain measurements, i.e., oscilloscope traces of current waveforms. This is extremely useful where pulsed current must be measured, as in inrush current measurements. A single 93511-1 probe is also all that is necessary to make commercial avionics conducted EMI measurements. Calibration is available as low as 20 Hz with the 93511-1L model.
The Model 93511-1 probe family has a 3.18 cm (1.25 in) window, making it suitable for measurements on almost any size power cable (AWG 4/0 cable, good for several hundred Amps, is 12.7 mm (0.5 in) diameter, exclusive of insulation.) Probe saturation current is compatible with the current carrying capacity of wires placed in its window.
