6502 Active Shielded Loop Antenna
Frequency Range: 10 kHz – 30 MHz
The Model 6502 is an active receiving loop antenna. A preamplifier is built into the base and provides a 50-ohm output and this helps this loop antenna produce good sensitivity and almost constant antenna factors.
The saturation indicator is activated when an incoming signal exceeds the 5 V/m saturation limit of the internal preamplifier. Power for the preamplifier is supplied by rechargeable sealed batteries.
Front panel controls and indicators for the preamplifier include a power switch, power-on indicator, saturation indicator, and a receptacle for a battery charger
Every loop antenna is individually calibrated in accordance with the IEEE-291 Section 2.3.1 methods, using NIST traceable equipment.
