EMC Scanners and Test Systems
EMC desktop scanners are powerful pre-compliance tools for measurement and analysis of Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI). They feature repetitive high-resolution scanning of emission (and optionally also immunity) down to 25 μm steps. This allows for easy comparative measurements between design alternatives and improves the quality of design by eliminating internal EMI hotspots. The scanners come with user-friendly scanner control and visualization software that supports hundreds of Spectrum Analyzer models. The software provides great visualization of emission and immunity hotspots for any frequency . Some examples of EMC desktop scanners include the EMScanner by Y.I.C. Technologies, which is a self-contained very-near-field scanning device that connects to a spectrum analyzer or desktop PC running on a copy of EMScanner Software. The EMScanner system operates from 159 kHz to 8GHz and delivers repeatable & reliable results that pinpoint the cause of a design failure in seconds.
